Andrew Baird, Tom Bridge, Pete Cowman and Josh Madin have just been awarded the 2022 Lizard Island Critical Research Grant to re-visit the taxonomy of the reef-building corals of Lizard Island, Australia.

The team are conducting similar work in the Palm and Keppel Islands, so if all goes well a robust and consistent taxonomy for corals on the Great Barrier Reef is not too far away.
